Condensation 1 - “The Condensation Season - October until March” PDF Print E-mail

Active condensation and its consequences, often in the form of mould growth, is a common problem in many properties in the UK especially between the months of October and March. This period is often referred to as 'the condensation season'.

Whilst it is possible, a persistent condensation problem in a property outside this period is unlikely. One should also be careful as evidence of a winter problem in the form of mould growth will remain on surfaces until it is wiped off even though the source of moisture is no longer present.

Therefore if you have what you believe to be condensation or you are told that you have a condensation problem outside the 'condensation season' then it is probably something else or you are looking at historic damage.
